Cook the dish you are known for, film it your way, and get people to vote for you. Voting opens the moment your entry goes live.
Everybody enjoys food their way. Funke fries her plantain. Tamuno roasts his. Halima uses dried okro. Emeka uses fresh okro. Bisi likes her egusi lumpy. Chidi likes his smooth. It’s all the taste of home. That’s my food, my way. Onga. Mama’s helping hand. Taste of Home.
One of you dries their own kuka. One shreds the meat while it is still too hot to touch. One will not let smooth pepper anywhere near ofada.
None of that came from a recipe. It came from you. This is the campaign that puts one of those ways into a kitchen built around it.

Designed with the winner, not for them. Two days of watching somebody cook before anybody draws anything.

05The first Food My Way stories are on their way. Every approved entry lights up its state — the goal is the whole map, yellow.
Explore the map→Everything you need to know before you enter or vote in the Onga Food My Way Kitchen Makeover.
All questions and answers →Anybody who lives in Nigeria and is 18 or over. You do not need to be a content creator — home cooks, foodies and food sellers are all welcome.
A video of you cooking your dish, up to 60 seconds and no bigger than 200 MB, and a photo of yourself with it. You upload both here — no social media account needed.
No. A phone is perfect. Shoot in good light, hold it steady and record in 1080p if your phone asks. The video has to be clear enough for people to see your way.
As soon as your entry is approved and live. Entries and voting both close on 14 October at 11.59pm WAT.
Our team checks every entry, usually within a day. Your dashboard shows when it is pending, live, or needs a fix — and if we cannot approve it, we tell you why.
Votes decide who goes forward, and the winners are chosen from the most-voted entries on the quality of their way. Entries with bought or fake votes are disqualified.
